What is Sports+ Travel Insurance cover?

Sports+ is our specialist travel insurance for trips where sport is the main reason for going away. It is designed for individuals, families, groups and teams taking part in training camps, tours and competitions abroad.

What does Sports+ cover?

As well as cover while you are playing or training for a wide range of sports, Sports+ also protects the rest of your trip. That includes emergency medical treatment and repatriation if you are seriously ill or injured, lost or stolen baggage, and disruption such as delays, cancellations and missed departures.

You can choose a single trip policy for one event or tour, or an annual multi trip policy if you expect to travel several times in a year. Optional cover upgrades for Winter Sports, Golf, Gadget, and Sports Equipment, allow you to tailor the policy around the way you play.

If sport is not the main reason for your trip, you may want to compare Sports+ with our Holiday+ or Longer Stay policies.

Gadget cover

Optional protection for mobile phones, tablets, laptops and other electronic devices if they are lost, stolen or accidentally damaged while you are away, up to the gadget limits shown in your policy.

Winter sports

Designed for snow sport trips, with cover for winter sports equipment, hired equipment, ski passes, ski pack, piste closure and certain avalanche or landslide disruption, up to the limits shown in the policy.

Golf

Golf cover for clubs and other equipment, delayed golf equipment, and non-refundable green fees, subject to the golf limits in your policy.

Sports equipment

Additional cover for sports equipment (excluding golf and winter sports), including your own items and hired equipment, up to the sports equipment limits shown in your policy.
